HP ProLiant Gen8伺服器正式在台上市 引爆節能與自動化新革命

HP惠普今日宣佈正式在台灣推出領先業界的HP ProLiant Generation 8 (Gen8) 伺服器系列，全新Gen8伺服器擁有目前業界最先進自我監控、自我診斷及主動支援等功能，以超低耗能協助伺服器生命週期的各方面自動化，而HP亦於今日假台北舉辦「2012 HP ProLiant 用戶大會」邀集全國五百多位重要客戶及經銷商，一同邁入嶄新智慧型資料中心新世紀!

HP ProLiant Gen8伺服器是HP一項耗資三億美元、為期兩年名為旅行者計劃 (Project Voyager) 的成果。該計劃為伺服器生命週期提昇各方面自動化，重新定義資料中心的經濟效益。直到目前為止，該計劃已申請超過900項專利，且全新的伺服器系統結構HP ProActive Insight architecture也涵蓋在整個HP融合式基礎架構內。

Project Voyager 是HP為伺服器市場推出為期多年的變革計劃之第三階段，該計劃始於2011年11月的登月計畫 (Project Moonshot)。Project Moonshot改變伺服器的建構，達到超低耗能的運算。第二階段為奧德賽計劃 (Project Odyssey)，重新定義未來的任務關鍵運算。而今登場的第三階段之旅行者計劃Project Voyager則使得伺服器生命週期的各方面皆能邁入自動化且極具省電節能功效。

HP ProLiant Gen8伺服器具備HP ProActive Insight architecture，以智能科技將工作自動化及大幅縮短運作時間，並能處理企業最關注的問題。若以一個10,000平方公呎的典型資料中心為例：
—若企業以人工管理伺服器，於三年內耗費平均2,400萬美元。(1) HP ProLiant Gen8 藉著減免大部份人工操作任務，使得管理員的生產力得以增加三倍。以伺服器更新為例，每台伺服器機架原先管理員需花費5小時進行更新，若使用業界首項HP Smart Update功能就能在10分鐘或以內完成相同的更新工作。(2)
—伺服器能源及設施開支與日俱增，讓企業在三年內耗資多達2,900萬美元。(1) HP ProLiant Gen8 配備HP 3-D Sea of Sensors，為業界的科技先驅，可按即時位置、能源、工作量及溫度數據來辨識過度使用的伺服器，增加每瓦特能源達70%的運算容量。(3) HP 3-D Sea of Sensors 亦可自動調節能源效益，同時免除手動配置及庫存處理錯誤。
—意外停機為客戶帶來每小時約1,000萬美元的支出。(4) HP ProLiant Gen8 配備業界科技先驅HP Active Health及HP Insight Online 科技，是唯一的伺服器能橫跨1,600個數據參數來自動分析其健康狀況。透過自我監控、自我診斷及主動支援，客戶可縮短意外停機的時間高達66%。(5)

HP ProActive Insight architecture 提升客戶體驗
HP ProLiant Gen8的ProActive Insight architecture包含功能強大的硬體及軟體，能自動化伺服器生命週期，並持續提供伺服器健康狀況、耗能及其他重要診斷的資訊。因此，線上系統更新的部署速度得以提升三倍，停機的機會最多可減少93%。(6)
HP ProLiant Gen8 伺服器已於目前全世界超過一百個資料中心進行測試，伺服器構建包含超過150個源自客戶的創新設計意念。這些創新設計能顯著加快應用程式的表現，亦協助管理員免除導致失效、停機及資料遺失的一般問題，進而達到伺服器最大得可用度。其創新概念包括：
—Integrated Lifecycle Automation – 將手動工作自動化，以加速應用程式部署及主動改善運行時間，協助客戶提升生產力、減少失誤及大幅簡化操作。透過這些改善，HP ProLiant Gen8伺服器可於一個典型10,000平方呎資料中心裡為每名IT人員每年節省的管理時間超過三十天。(7)
—Dynamic Workload Acceleration – 憑藉智能化及HP 固態(solid-state)科技搭配一個融合的伺服器及儲存設計，資料密集儲存的表現可提升接近7倍。(8) 智能分析及工作量認知(workload-aware)智能讓HP ProLiant Gen8伺服器能即時作出調整，以優化系統表現及效率。獨特的HP Advanced Data Mirroring及智能演算法可確保資料安全度高達1,000倍，加快Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) 的起始達95%。(9)
—Automated Energy Optimization – HP ProLiant Gen8節能伺服器及業界首座配備內置感應器的智能機架，以一個典型的資料中心為例，能於三年內提供接近兩倍多的每瓦特運算容量，以及節省700萬美元能源成本。(10) HP 3-D Sea of Sensors將庫存管理自動化，精確地追蹤每台機架及伺服器的耗電量，讓管理員輕易地優化工作量的配置。競爭對手的伺服器迫使客戶以人工操作庫存、追蹤及量化能源或散熱，這不但需要龐大的資源，更常因配置錯誤而引起停機的風險，令能源成本上升。
—主動服務及支援 – 憑藉HP Insight Online (業界最全面以雲端為基礎、IT管理及個人化支援入門網站)，讓客戶達到95%的首次修復率(issue resolution rate)。(11) HP Insight Online與HP ProLiant Gen8 智能科技、HP Insight Remote Support及HP服務整合，透過自動搜集伺服器資產、健康狀況、合約、保固及支援個案的資訊，為客戶提供一個融合的伺服器管理及支援體驗。資料可隨時隨地安全使用，讓客戶透過HP ServiceONE計劃接觸HP認可的通路合作夥伴，除了可迅速解決問題，更可主動避免問題產生。

HP ProLiant Gen8伺服器已正式在台上市，產品系列包括能提供遠距及各地分公司使用的HP ProLiant ML tower伺服器、具效益及性能的多功能HP ProLiant DL機架伺服器、專為雲端就緒融合式基礎架構而設的HP ProLiant BL刀鋒伺服器，以及針對網站、雲端及大規模擴展環境的HP ProLiant SL可擴展系統伺服器。
HP年度客戶活動 -- HP DISCOVER – 將於6月4日至7日在美國拉斯維加斯盛大舉行。
