HP 將繼續保留PC部門

HP今日宣布已完成對個人系統事業群所有經營策略可行性的評估，並決定繼續保留個人系統事業群。
HP總裁兼執行長 Meg Whitman表示：「 HP 已客觀評估所有出售個人系統事業群對公司發展策略、財務及營運的可能影響。在分析過後，保留個人系統事業群很明顯不僅對顧客以及合作夥伴是正確的選擇，對股東及員工更有好處。HP將持續與個人系統事業群一起成長茁壯。」
來自不同產業及各個領域的專家參與研擬個人系統事業群經營策略。評估報告顯示，HP在供應鏈、IT和採購等關鍵業務已達深度整合；同時也指出個人系統事業群對HP的方案組合和整體品牌價值有顯著貢獻。最後，評估報告也表明，對一個獨立的公司而言，重新建立這些成果的成本會大於分拆部門所帶來的任何好處。
